Vazha Takhnishvili is best defender yet again in Moldova

40 year old Vazha Tarkhnishvili was named as the best defender of 2011 season in Moldova by country’s football federation.

 

Veteran captain of Sheriff Tiraspol gained such honor fifth time in his career which is unique achievement itself. Besides that Tarkhnishvili was named Moldova’s best player in 2002.

 

Vazha Tarkhnishvili has moved from Locomotive Tbilisi to Sheriff in 1999 and since than has won champion’s title 10 times while winning Moldova cup 7 times. In addition he is two-times CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) cup winner.
