Georgian Weightlifter Raul Tsirekidze took 2nd place in group B

Raul Tsirekidze, Georgian WeightlifterOn the 3rd of August, Raul Tsirekidze (85kg) weightlifter had a performance and took second place in B group.
In his first attempt he lifted 162kg weight and after he requested 167kg and was failed.


At the second move he took 195kg weight and on the second attempt 200 kg, on his last attempt he requested 202kg because of losing one point to his opponent Belarusian weightlifter, but he was not able to control this weight.


This was group B performance where there were 11 weightlifters. On 3rd of August at 22:00 will start competition in first category where will be 12 weightlifter. So Tsirekidze guaranteed himself to take at least 14th place on the Olympics.

  Georgia, Tbilisi. The capital of Georgia hosted National Boxing Championship 2013 from 11th to 14th of February. 90 boxers from the regions of Georgia gathered at the Judos Academy for the competitions. There were fights in 10 weight categories.
