Georgia, Tbilisi. Presentation of the contest "Students' Face 2012" took place at Ivane Javakhishvili State University.  The contest will run under the patronage of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia. In the framework of "Students' Face" a jury will interview female students from institutions of Georgia to participate in the contest.

Ukraine, Kiev. On 30 June, UEFA executive committee (EC) made a decision to held match of Super Cup 2015 in Tbilisi. This statement was made on the after the meeting press-conference. Zviad Sichinava, President of the Georgian Football Federation (GFF) and Revaz Arveladze, Secretary General of GFF attended the meeting.

Azerbaijan, Baku. On 26-30 June the first youth congress" Big silk road" for Silk Road countries was held. Delegations from 26 countries were participating in the congress.

Georgia, Tbilisi. June 19, Fitness club for persons with disabilities was opened at the Children and Youth National Center of Georgia (CYNC). The Club was equipped with the support of the UNICEF in Georgia. The staff of the club will provide individual physical trainings and consultations for beneficiaries.

On June 13, at the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia NGO "Georgian Youth Parliament" signed a Memorandum of Understanding with "Ukrainian Youth Parliament".

Georgia, Tbilisi. On June 5th, at the Turtle Lake, Youth Festival "Student Days 2012" final concert and award ceremony was held. Students from different universities were presented with their theatrical show, modern and folk dancing, singing and comedy performances during the concert. The main award - grand prize won the "SEU" university.

Winners of the sport-educational online game that was hosted by Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia web-site were awarded by Vladimer Vardzelashvili on December 30.  Gogita Mzareula has claimed first place while Giorgi Gordiashvili and Davit Chitaia divided other two places. Winners were awarded by publishing house Diogene as well.

Gallery Vernissage has held exhibition of best photos participating in photo contest held by Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia on December 27. Winners of the five nominations were named as well. About 500 photos took part in the contest which was sponsored by Gulf. Photographers had to upload their works to msy.gov.ge web-site. 62 photos were chosen for exhibition and 5 were named as winners.  

The drawing of the traditional media tournament, The Bacho Cup was held in Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia on July 1. The tournament will be held on July 2 - the international sports journalism day on Kus Tba (The Turtle Lake) in Tbilisi. The Bacho Cup is organized by Ministry with aid of Tbilisi City Hall, Natakhtary Company and Federation of Georgian Sports Journalists and it is created to honor the memory of late journalist, Bacho Svanidze.      

Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia - Lado vardzelashvili awarded the winners of Georgian Universiade 2011 at the acting hall of Tbilisi State University. The overall winner of the Universiade has become Georgian Technical University with 15 gold, 14 silver and 16 bronze medals. Students were participating in 20 sporting events. Competition was tight as runner-up Ilia University has claimed 15 gold, 11 silver and 14 bronze medals while third place winner Agrarian University got 11 gold, 15 silver and 24 bronze medals.
