28th October, Tbilisi (MSY) --- Seminar "Capacity building"- under the program Open Fun Football Schools (OFFS) organized by Cross Cultures Projects Association (CCPA) in cooperation with the Football Association of Norway, took place at the office of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia on 25-26 of October, 2014.
Mr. Anders Levinsen (Denmark, managing director of CCPA) and Ms. Aise Kossari (Denmark, Project Curator) leaded the seminar. Mr. Levan Kipiani, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia and Mr. Tamaz Tevzadze, Deputy Minister attended the event as well.
The seminar was dedicated to the directors, teachers, mandatories of sport and public schools at the municipalities participating in the OFFS project, employees of Ministry of Internal Affairs and social workers of National Probation Agency.
Georgia is implementing CCPA's project Open Fun Football Schools since 2003. From 1st October, 2014 till 31st of March, 2015 the mentioned program will transform into a pilot program - "Sport+Schools+Police" (SSP). The project aims to create inclusive social environment where everybody feels accepted, confident and as a part of the community, as well as to prevent children and youth from becoming delinquents or victims of crime.
The project will be implemented at the Open Fun Football schools working in the field (Batumi, Gori, Zugdidi, Rustavi, Kutaisi and three regions of Tbilisi).
Associated partners of the project are: Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA), Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia (MSY), Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia (MES), Ministry of Corrections of Georgia (MOC), as well as Georgian Football Federation.
