Action Plan for development of State’s Youth Policy 2015-2020

29th January, Tbilisi (MSY) --- Government of Georgia approved "Action Plan for development of State's Youth Policy 2015-2020", which will result in implementation of aims and objectives of "State's Youth Policy Document" adopted in 2014.

The following stakeholders were involved in the process of the development of Youth Policy Action Plan: ministries, parliament of Georgia, youth NGOs, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF). The activities in the agenda of the action plan will be carried out in the framework of the budget of the agencies mentioned in the document, as well as by the funds of donor organizations.

"Action Plan for development of State's Youth Policy 2015-2020" covers more than 200 projects in the field of youth, which should be implemented in 2015-2020 according to the following four strategic directions:

1.       Participation;

2.       Education, employment and mobility;

3.       Health;

4.       Special support and protection.

The members of Cross-sectorial Coordination Council adopted the final draft of State's Youth Policy Action Plan on implementation of the "State's Youth Policy Document 2015-2020" at the meeting on 17th of October, 2014. The Action Plan was developed by stakeholders (Government agencies, NGOs, experts) and the process was supported by UNICEF and UNFPA offices in Georgia.
