November 18, Tbilisi. (MSY) --- On match-day three Georgia U19 football team won the Netherlands and got the 1st place in the Group 11, of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship. With 3 wins in the Group Georgia progressed to the elite round of the tournament.

At its last match of the GrEuroBasket 2015 Qualification round, Georgian Men's National Basketball Team defeated Portugal 71:59 at home (Tbilisi Sport Palace). With this victory, Georgia got the first place in Group E and punched ticket to next year's big event.

Georgia caused a big upset at Mikheil Meskhi Stadium as they battled past Samoa 16-15 on Saturday, a team sat 11 places above them in the rankings.

27 October, Doha, Qatar. (MSY) --- On the Congress meeting of the International Handball Federation (IHF) members of the board decided to satisfy Georgia’s application to host Men’s Youth World Championship in 2017. The tournament will be held in 4 cities: Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi and Telavi.

World Junior Championships, Fort Lauderdale 2014, which is the final IJF World Championships of the year, took place on 22-26 of October in Miami (Florida, USA). The five day event in Miami featured 16 weight categories (8 men, 8 women) before the Team Event on the last day of the tournament.

Georgia's National Youth Team gained - 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals, while junior team - 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

 

Georgian tennis players - Mrs. Anna Tatishvili and Mrs. Maka Chakhnashvili were added to the Geirgian Olympic delegation to participate in London, 2012 Olympic Games. International Tennis Federation gave the so-called "wild card" to Georgian sportpersons.

Dusheti House of Culture hosted the Georgian Championship in weightlifting from 11th to 13th of September. In the scope of the tournaments 60 athletes competed in 8 weight categories.
