Tbilisi, 25-26 May. (MSY) ---- XVIII International dancesport competition Caucasus cup 2013 will take place at the sports complex “ARENA”. The organizer of the event is the Georgia’s National Dancesport Federation. Partners are: Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia, World DanceSport Federation, Georgia’s National Olympic Committee.

Baku, May 12. Georgia`s Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Levan Kipiani has arrived in Azerbaijan for a visit aimed at exploring prospects for strengthening the bilateral cooperation in the field of youth and sports.

Lima, Peru. 2-11 May. (MSY) --- World Weightlifting Youth Championship 2013 in Lima, Peru has been completed. At the age of 19, Georgian athlete Lasha Talakhadze made his dream came true by getting the first place in the category (+105 Kg), adding for a total 411 kilograms. This result was obtained due to the first 190 kg  – lift (snatch) and 221 kg (clean and jerk).

FC Dinamo Tbilisi have now won league titles under Dušan Uhrin Jr and Dušan Uhrin Sr, after a 4-0 win against FC Torpedo Kutaisi set the seal on their 14th post-independence title. Dušan Uhrin Jr has steered FC Dinamo Tbilisi to their 14th post-independence Georgian championship with two matches to go, five years after his father Dušan Uhrin Sr led the club to their 13th success.

Tbilisi, 2 May (MSY) --- At the extraordinary session, Georgia’s Olympic Committee members decided that Georgia’s Olympic team will take part in the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russian Federation.

Kairat Almaty became the first Kazakhstani team to claim a UEFA title with their triumph in Tbilisi – and did it the hard way with thrilling wins against FC Barcelona and MFK Dinamo.

For Georgia it was a great start of the Adidas European Championships 2013 taking place in Budapest (25-28 April). Georgia continues the success of last year but now already with two gold medals at the first day.

Georgia hosts its first European final tournament from Friday when the UEFA Futsal Cup kicks off at the Tbilisi Palace of Sport. The UEFA Futsal Cup, Georgia's first final tournament, starts in Tbilisi today.

Tbilisi, 25 April. (MSY) --- Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between Public Defender Office of Georgia and the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs (MSY) of Georgia. The document was ratified by Public Defencer Ucha Nanuashvili and Minister Levan Kipiani (MSY).
